The “Ishiakari Road” is an event carried out every year from summer to autumn in Mure. Each local craftsperson has poured their heart into a single piece of stone carving, and when these are lit with a mystical light to gently peel back the darkness, onlookers cannot help but be enchanted. Since 2005, at the Ishakari Exhibition Hall, visitors have been able to enjoy some of the stone lantern masterpieces that grace the Ishakari Road all year round. This is also the only place where the pieces on display can be purchased. How about delighting in taking home a stone lantern of your own?
