- As sculptors, they create sculptures jointly as a married couple. They consider the total environmental design for all their work, including monuments, benches and stone lanterns. They intend to fill the whole of the Sanuki townscape with art.

- Izumi is one of the few Japanese to have graced the pages of National Geographic, the periodical that tickles the intellectual curiosity of people in 180 countries worldwide. Although his sculptures are traditional in nature, he is also challenging himself to create new works, including his child sculptures.
