Junpei Jinno

■Introduction
Jinno works principally as a carver of Buddhist images. The expressions on the images that his craftsmanship have given life to are very gentle. His refined technique lends itself to creating beautiful curves.

Kaku Takaishi

■Introduction
Based on the skills Takaishi learnt as the son of a stonemason, he puts his own feelings into the stone. His work brings to mind images of spirals.

■Introduction
Morioka principally creates Buddhist images. He has also created various fun Buddhist images with a sense of humor including a Jizo (a bodhisattva guardian of children and travelers) eating udon noodles and a dieting Buddha.

■Introduction
Yamada speaks “At present, and now, with regard to everything that is happening around me, I feel many different things. I formalize my feelings, and consider my work to be that of leaving them as objects occupying three-dimensional space, thereby becoming sculptures.”
